Here Is How To Use Intention To Get Results

Desire motivates to rise higher in whatever you want.

Intentions are what make desires a reality. Feng Shui (like decluttering) adds efficiency to intention which makes manifesting goals easier.

It’s human nature (as we currently understand it) to desire things and experiences. Those desires drive intention.

Many have argued that this inclination originated from our basic survival instincts. Early humans needed food, shelter, and resources to remain alive. While modern society has significantly evolved, the fundamental urge to obtain things remains in our psyche. Today, this desire manifests in various forms, from material possessions like houses, cars, and gadgets to intangible assets such as knowledge, skills, status, and relationships.

In our current consumer-driven world, advertisements bombard us with messages that link happiness and fulfillment to the things we buy. The rise of social media amplifies this. People often showcase their stuff, triggering a subconscious comparison among ourselves. This competitive instinct fuels the perpetual chase for the next big thing, such as the latest smartphone, fashion trend, or lifestyle choice.

At the same time, this is not entirely negative.

This desire drives innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth. People’s aspirations lead to the creation of groundbreaking technologies, inspiring art, and cultural movements.

However, an uncontrolled obsession with getting things can lead to terrible consequences. It can produce excessive materialism, where your worth is measured by things rather than character or values. It can also contribute to excessive waste.

This is why it’s important to own things, and not have things own us.

Intention Is The Heart Of Everything We Do

Know what you want and why.

Intention refers to our mental state or purpose behind a specific action or set of actions. It is the underlying motivation or reason why we do something. Intentions reflect conscious desires, goals, or plans that drive us to act in a particular way.

Whether it’s things, status, or an experience, any directed action is done so with some kind of achievement in mind. This shapes our actions, attitudes, and relationships with others.

Psychologically, understanding our intentions and motivations is the key to satisfaction. You could say that is the motivating factor behind accomplishing intention.

Philosophically, questions about why we exist and where these intention-desires come from have been the topic of debates. Regardless of where it may originate from, or for that matter why desires surface, intention remains the means to fulfilling it.

We Are Always Looking For Ways To Do Things Faster

Moving at hyper fast speeds.

In the age of instant gratification, the pursuit of manifesting desires quickly has become a dominating trend.

We are increasingly drawn to the idea that our thoughts and energy can shape reality. Social media platforms are flooded with success stories and manifestation techniques, ranging from vision boards and affirmations to meditation and gratitude practices.

The appeal lies in the promise of a shortcut to achieving one’s dreams, bypassing traditional routes of hard work and patience.

This creates important questions about the intersection of spirituality and consumerism. Critics argue that this approach can lead to a shallow understanding of personal growth. It tends to overlook the importance of inner work and self-reflection.

Why Faster Isn’t Always Better

The journey is often more important than the destination.

The emphasis on speed can overshadow the journey itself.

Personal growth, self-discovery, and learning are important life lessons. When we rush this process, we might miss out on the opportunity to develop patience, durability, and gratitude. These qualities are necessary for appreciating and sustaining the things we manifest.

Moreover, the path toward achieving our goals often teaches us valuable skills such as planning, perseverance, and problem-solving. If we skip this learning process, we might not be able to handle the challenges that come with what we desire. Success achieved through shortcuts can be fragile because it lacks a solid foundation of knowledge and experience.

Additionally, getting there faster can lead to a lack of appreciation for what we have. When we instantaneously obtain everything we desire, we may not fully grasp the value of those things or the effort it takes to maintain them.

Feng Shui Can Help You Achieve Your Desires Efficiently

A quality action or experience is more important than many inferior ones.

There is a difference between avoiding the necessary efforts to achieve what you want and getting there more efficiently.

Doing something faster is about achievement in less time. It emphasizes speed and quickness, often at the expense of other factors such as quality or effectiveness. On the other hand, doing something efficiently involves achieving a goal with the optimal use of resources, including time, energy, and effort. Efficiency emphasizes productivity, organization, and smart decision-making to achieve the best results.

Feng Shui contributes to efficiency.

By arranging your environment using Feng Shui principles, you’ll create a harmonious and balanced atmosphere that helps with your day-to-day tasks. For example, by decluttering and organizing spaces, distractions are reduced and concentration is emphasized. This optimized environment can enhance productivity and help you complete actions more effectively.

You create environments that support your goals and desires.

Another example, arranging an office with an organized desk, file system, and minimalistic items, including positioning the chair to face the entrance, has been known to produce greater concentration. Psychology Today posted an article on the benefits of decluttering, including an article that explores the benefits of Feng Shui applied to an office.

Those Over 40 Can Technically Manifest Desires More Easily

The wisdom of age helps manifest things more quickly.

While not always the case, under most circumstances, men and women over 40 are more likely to manifest their intentions and do so with far less resistance.

Those of us in this age group and older often have a more extensive range of experiences, both personal and professional. This provides insights and enhances problem-solving skills. The ability to draw upon a diverse set of backgrounds and journeys allows older individuals to approach intentions with a wider perspective. Though no one can effectively predict the future, there are often recognizable patterns and repeatable challenges that aren’t surprising.

In a way, people over 40 have played enough of this game called life to have a good grasp of what to generally expect next.

Furthermore, with age comes a better understanding of oneself and a clearer sense of what is truly worth pursuing. This self-awareness, combined with a potentially stronger sense of purpose, can drive motivation and commitment.

From a neurological standpoint, research suggests that the prefrontal cortex, responsible for decision-making and goal-setting, continues to develop and mature into one’s 40s. This maturation process contributes to improved executive functions, such as planning, organizing, and goal-directed behavior.

The result is a higher likelihood of successfully manifesting intentions than those many years younger.

Here Is What Interferes With Intention

Squirrel and Dogs have different but similar goals.

Several internal and external factors can interfere with accomplishing your intention.

One is self-doubt.

This can stem from past failures or a lack of self-confidence. When you doubt your abilities or question the likelihood of your goals, you might hesitate to take the necessary actions to fulfill your intentions.

Fear of failure can also play a substantial role.

This can cause you to avoid pursuing your desires altogether to avoid the possibility of disappointment. This fear is often tied to self-doubt and is incredibly common.

Procrastination is another known obstacle.

You and I might have good intentions, but the tendency to postpone tasks can hinder progress significantly. This often comes from a lack of motivation, unclear goals, or an overwhelming sense of the task’s complexity.

The lack of focus and distractions is a huge factor as well.

Technology, social media, or even personal issues can easily divert attention away from intentions. In our current age of constant connectivity, maintaining focus on long-term goals can be challenging.

The High Costs Of Distractions, an article posted in Psychology Today, details why avoiding distractions and regaining focus is so important.

Unsupportive environments and negative influences interfere.

Your immediate environment, such as your home or workplace, can easily diminish your motivation and belief in your ability to achieve your goals. An overabundance of things, unhealthy relationships, improper diet, and more contribute to how well you function, or don’t.

Several other elements can certainly trip up your journey toward manifesting your intentions. The above, however, are the most common, and generally, ones you have higher influence over.

Here Is How To Use Intentions With Greater Efficiency

Achieving what you desire is accomplished by the following simple steps.

  1. Know what you want
  2. Take action toward getting it
  3. Do this consistently for a long enough time
  4. Add efficiency where possible

Along the way, there is a strong likelihood there will be distractions, setbacks, and a whole lot of other interferences. The more you can reduce all that, the closer you get to arriving at your intended result.

The more efficient the process becomes, the more quickly it happens.

1. Know What You Want

Setting an intention is like charting a course for your life; it provides a clear direction and purpose. When you have a precise goal in mind, you can align your thoughts, actions, and energy towards achieving it. Without a clear understanding of your aspirations, your intention might lack the power it needs to manifest effectively.

2. Take Action Toward Getting It

Taking the right actions toward manifesting your intention is like laying the foundation for a sturdy building. Each action you take should align with your goal, creating a roadmap that leads you closer to your desired outcome. It involves breaking down your intention into smaller, achievable tasks and tackling them one by one. These actions should be well-planned, realistic, and adaptable.

3. Do These Actions Consistently Over A Long Enough Time

Consistent action over a sustained period is the bedrock upon which intentions become reality. It’s similar to the steady flow of water shaping landscapes over centuries. Time is both a challenge and a friend. Real change, significant achievement, and the realization of profound intentions often require patience and unwavering perseverance.

It involves showing up every day, regardless of setbacks or momentary failures, and putting in the necessary work. Quite literally, your intention happens when doing this literally becomes a matter of time.

4. Add Efficiency Where Possible

When you optimize your actions, you’re essentially maximizing your output with minimal input, allowing you to achieve more in less time. This not only conserves your energy but also enhances your focus and determination.

Feng Shui is an excellent, relatively easy, and near-immediate way to increase the efficiency of your intention. The following are a few ways to use this art to enhance your journey.

A. Declutter Your Environment

Without getting too caught up in Feng Shui mysticism and elaborate philosophical adherences, a simple removal of excess stuff can have significant effects. Studies have shown that decluttering improves cognitive processes and decision-making.

Further research demonstrates a notable reduction in stress and a better sense of energy and relaxation. Stress and urgency tend to be inhibitors and often interfere with intentions.

Here is an earlier article I posted if you’d like more information on decluttering.

B. Arrange Seating And Beds In The Command Position

Once you’ve decluttered, arrange furniture where the entrance is within your field of visual awareness. Studies have shown that being in a room where your line of sight warns you of anyone potentially entering the room enhances a sense of security, increases mental clarity, and stimulates cognition.

Psychologically, when your back is to the entrance of a room, especially your living space or working environment, stress tends to rise along with fear of the unknown. Feng Shui treats every room like that of where a king or queen would sit. Historically and even to this day, royalty and leaders of all walks are constantly aware of assassination. The idea is to lessen any possibility of being surprised by would-be attackers.

C. Decorate With Items Representative Of Your Intention

Decorating your room with symbols and art that represent your intention is a powerful way to infuse your living space with the energy and focus needed to manifest your desires.

Symbols have been used throughout human history to convey deep meanings and intentions, tapping into the subconscious mind and reinforcing beliefs. By surrounding yourself with visual representations of your goals, you create a constant reminder of your aspirations, keeping them at the forefront of your consciousness. These symbols have the ability to evoke emotions and inspire.

It further establishes a harmonious environment that aligns with your desires, creating a positive atmosphere that supports your journey toward manifestation.

Applying these basic principles not only has immediate benefits to your well-being, but they also eliminate interferences. This reduction means you’ll be able to remain more focused and dedicated to achieving what you intended.

When this happens, your desires are experienced not only organically (well-earned), but faster as well.

Until the next time, cheers!
