For instance, smart buildings equipped with sensors can adjust lighting, temperature, and even spatial configurations based on occupancy patterns. The integration of sensor technologies to optimize energy efficiency and user comfort showcases the bidirectional relationship between us and structures.

Scientifically, it could be further argued that buildings are atomically changing based on how those inside are interacting and functioning within. Through careful consideration of factors such as orientation, layout, and placement of objects, Feng Shui seeks to balance and optimize the energy within a space.

Scientifically, while there is no direct evidence the philosophical side of Feng Shui is true, Environmental Psychology supports the application of Feng Shui.

I’ve written about the benefits of Feng Shui and how powerful decluttering can be. In my experience, and as many others, including professional studies, have shown, one of the best (and fastest) ways to improve your life is to better your environment. 

The act of bringing your living space to order, maintaining and keeping it clean, including considerate decoration, seems to create a type of intimacy. I personally feel we form relationships with our homes, rented or not. Just like any relationship, the more you put into your living space, the more it will grow and provide returns.

When addressing your home, consider that in everything you do (Feng Shui, decluttering, reorganizing, cleaning, expanding, etc), your actions are to build a solid construct that responds to you. It very well may be alive. 

I can’t obviously prove this, but I can say with certainty, that the basic principles of Feng Shui benefit a home. The more a home benefits, the more you get back.
